The Crawfords Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of West Coast Skip Hire, a well-established provider of skip hire services across Argyll & Bute. From 1st January 2026, all operations will be managed by C Hire Ltd, part of The Crawfords Group.
West Coast Skip Hire has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable waste management services to customers across the region. Following careful consideration, The Mellex Group Ltd has made the decision to transfer ownership, ensuring the business continues to grow under experienced, local leadership.
Strengthening Our Service Offering
This acquisition marks an important step in the continued growth of The Crawfords Group, further strengthening our ability to deliver fully integrated trade and site support services. Through C Hire Ltd, we will continue to provide skip hire alongside tool and plant hire, supporting projects of every size with reliable, efficient solutions.
What This Means for Customers
Customers can expect a seamless transition, with all existing contracts, projects and services continuing as normal. The addition of C Hire Ltd brings enhanced operational support, improved systems, and a dedicated local team focused on delivering a high standard of service.
Due to changes in landfill costs, waste handling regulations and wider industry pressures, there will be some pricing adjustments. These will be communicated directly with customers to ensure full transparency moving forward.
